The hollow base of the ox

This crib in 35 mm, is as well curious as magnificent. Two brands are divided this series: Heudebert and Wagner. The only known documents are the ones of Wagner (see photos).
The great mystery is the one of the ox. Forgetting or last-minute defect, the ox is not present. The one that we attribute to this series has neither the same base nor the same engraving. But it is not impossible that a small number of "failures" was produced, where from his rarity.


Other curiosities:
- Melchior, who has no same engraving and does not offer especially nothing to Jesus!
- The dromedary: that in the short rope is the voucher. There is a casting of material on the second. Note to have the 2 models is more not insignificant one.
They are the most fragile parts with the elephant where the tool of the mahout is often broken. This small instrument is called Ankush. The fact of showing it to the elephant is enough to make it.
