Shadoks occupied our TVs from 1968 to 1973. The name Shadok is a wink by the author, Jacques Rouxel, to the Captain Haddock, and Gibis got their name from the English pronunciation of the initials for Great Britain, hence the derby hat.

Shadoks represent French, always very complicated, muddled and followers of the perpetual resourcefulness, while Gibis are calm, reflective and work as a unite. These are not their enemies but their rivals.

This series of figurines consists in 4 shadoks and 4 Gibis in 4 different colors: white, blue, orange and yellow.

The series also went out under the cheese brand "Les Ducs"
